Damn. Back to uni already. I still can't believe how fast time has past. What have I done this whole holiday you may ask. I've been dancing. Every single day from 1-9pm I have literally camped at the dance studio rehearsing, teaching and preparing for upcoming gigs. Here are pictures of the one we just performed for. It was orientation week for the July Intakers. It rained! And we had one move that needed us to be on the floor. I swear, in the middle of the routine, when we all did that move I could hear the faint sound of all of us going "EEEEWWWWW!!!!" Hahaha. ![]() TOP (L to R): Diana, Lee Lee, Am BOTTOM (L to R): Mandi, Ness, Ning But of course the highlight of the whole day (apart from our dancing) was the one on one sumo wrestle between Grace and I. It was so fun! I now know how it feels to be 4 times your normal size. It's not funny. I could barely balance myself. Haha. Here are the highlights of the match. ![]() Before the match. The friendly photo. Every match needs one. It's before we all get rough and tough and start pushing each other over. The aim of the game is basically to push your opponent outside the red circle. ![]() And here we are...getting ready....and... *ding**ding* The bell goes and they're off!!! ![]() Here we are pushing and shoving ![]() More pushing and shoving The results: Am (2) - Grace (1) Was a close match. And for punishment I got to body slam Grace. hehe... ![]() I'm wondering if any of you guys manage to get a shot of me in mid air as I came crashing down on her? Sorry Grace. It was a good match and a hell of a lot of fun. This girl can really push...better watch out. =o) Thank you dear for indulging me in my silly childishness. If you people have a chance to try it out one day...you really really should... ~Am~ at 4:26 PM ![]() I loved Pirates!!! Sorry Ning. Despite the fact it didn't have a proper ending , i reckon overall the show wasn't too bad for a sequel. The lines were still funny. Watching the first one helps cause you'll get all the subtleties even more. And as usual, Johnny Depp was a great Jack Sparrow. Now I can't wait till Pirates III! ~Am~ at 4:57 PM ![]() I really like him....and the movie was super super! Definitely better than I expected. I didn't really wanna watch it, but I don't regret it now. They even used the ORIGINAL superman music at the beginning. Hehe...felt nice and nostalgic. Brandon Routh is so tall and he's got the bluest eyes...wondering if they're real. Hmmm. Kate Bosworth is *slurp*...really really pretty. And Kevin Spacey was a really good Lex Luther. I shall not reveal too much for everyone. You guys can just watch and decide for yourselves. ![]() Sigh....I want a superman of my own....so I can fly and 'play water' (words from Grace, watch the movie and you'd get it) ![]() How cool does Lex look? Next Up....PIRATES... ~Am~ at 10:30 AM Here are photos from a recent Flare dinner with Cindy. It was great. We ordered a whopping FOUR METRES of pizza and we guzzled down nearly everything. The bread was a little salty but otherwise the food was YUM YUM YUM. ![]() PIZZA BY THE METRE before Cindy goes off to China ![]() ATTACK!!! Haha. Joon's right. Flare people really are HAPPY people. It's amazing how food has this amazing magnetic effect that brings us all together. I am just SO GLAD I found a group of friends who LOVE LOVE LOVE to eat. Who cares about the weight Who cares about the 'ginourmous' mountains of food who cares about the people staring at us and how these wee lil girls manage to guzzle it all down Who cares?!?!! It's great. We find every excuse to meet up to eat! At this moment, we already have 2 events on the agenda: A 'Make-Your-Own-Pizza' Party A Poolside BBQ at Ning's Haha...I'm sure once they're over we'll think of something else soon. Heck, we even want to customize our own wristbands: ![]() Ning got these off the net to protest whale killing especially in Japan. Someone (shar I think) equated whales to flarians [the idea of how whales just open their mouths, swim and just devour everything in their way]. So we've come up with the idea that we should customize our own bands that say "Feed the Flarians". Haha...why not....sounds like a good idea to me. On another note, I miss Cindy too!! ![]() ![]() ~Am~ at 12:15 PM Someone told me last night that they think I'm a very strong person. They base this from what they see and what they know. Funnily enough, this is far from what I think of myself. I guess over time I've learnt to hide what I really feel inside. For the sake of others I dislike being sad in front of people. I dun like showing it on my face, in my actions or in my words. It's become a skill I've mastered for a while now and somehow when I think about it, I'm not too proud of it. I still dun like the idea that when I feel shit I choose to suffer at home alone. I prefer to solve issues on my own without the whole world knowing I had problems in the first place. A good friend of mine believed that sometimes the people who appear the happiest on the outside are always the saddest. True perhaps. Or maybe happy people are just good actors. I think it's this skill that has kept me blogging about feelings for a while. I look back at my old posts. They use to be full of my thoughts and how I feel. But they've gradualy become more superficial; relegated to photos and brief summaries of life's happenings. Perhaps I should try to be more open again. Maybe it's issues of vlnerability or whatnot. But sometimes I don't think 'bottling' can be too healthy. Perhaps I can try. And in inspiration of someone who is choosing to blog 2 days in a week. I shall start a mid year resolution. Am will also bid on a CF card on ebay so I will no longer be lazy to bring my camera to functions and WILL take my own photos cause it takes too damn long to get photos from people (especially KEL who is at my house A LOT.....stupid I know) To those who see this...hahhaa....i hope I have your blessings...and a good kick in the butt if I don't do as I should. =o) ~Am~ at 11:17 AM |
